Gil Dia is a seasoned sales and marketing professional with over thirty years of experience in multiple industries. Mr. Dia’s experience includes recruiting, business development, training program coordination and management, and consultative selling to individuals, groups and businesses. He has received numerous achievement awards, recognition and trophies for top sales performance and sales management in the financial services industry, healthcare industry and in the field of telecommunications. He is currently a National Training Director for Ecospan Insurance Services, Inc. and owns and operates a financial services agency.
Looking back, Mr. Gil Dia did not begin his career in sales and business. He has a technical background and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from University of Southern California in 1981. He was an academic scholar and in the dean’s list in college. Immediately after college, he worked as a civil engineer for 10 years with the government sector. Although engineering employment had its benefits, his desire to have a quality life balancing family and career was deeply seated in him. He met a dear friend who motivated him to obtain his Life and Health License and conduct business part-time in 1987. After generating a comparable full time income on a part-time basis in financial services, he decided to become a full- time entrepreneur. Gil believes in offering multiple financial products as a one stop shop service with an integrated solution to establish clients for life. He also utilizes his engineering skills to develop strategies for solutions to many problems that people face due to the challenging global economic climate today.
Gil Dia is happily married since 1985 to his wife, Maria Dia, a registered nurse and a great cook. He has four lovely children whom all have graduated attaining a bachelors degree in college, an achievement that Gil and his wife are very proud of. Gil loves to watch competitive sports such as basketball and boxing, enjoys ballroom dancing and is a frustrated karaoke singer. He is also active in his church as a lector/reader since his college years.
